Our Story
Built in Calgary, for Calgary's businesses.
Northcrest Legal began in 2011 with a simple frustration: too many good businesses were being underserved by lawyers who were either too big to care or too busy to explain. Our founder had spent years inside a large downtown firm and kept seeing the same thing — owners paying premium rates for advice they couldn't understand, delivered by someone who barely knew their business.
We set out to build the opposite: a practice small enough to genuinely know each client, experienced enough to protect them properly, and honest enough to tell them when they don't actually need to spend money. That philosophy has guided every engagement since.
More than a decade later, we've advised over 600 founders, family businesses and growing teams across Alberta — and the principle hasn't changed. Straight answers, predictable scope, and a lawyer who picks up the phone.
